July 2009 – A new contract with Oracle enables institution-wide use of database programs and software licensing that support academic, administrative and business applications.
July 2009 – A cable television contract with Apogee will save $200,000 and provide 20 additional channels to more than 4,000 subscribers in KU student housing.
May 2009 – Hardware Acquisition – KU entered into a volume purchasing agreement with Dell to achieve significant cost savings and purchasing flexibility for computers and related hardware.
May 2009 – Advisory Groups of stakeholders from throughout the university formed to guide implementation of Initiative One priorities involving Desktop Acquisition and Imaging, Desktop Support, Enterprise Document Imaging, Enterprise Document Management, High Performance Computing, Network Architecture, and Storage.
April 2009 – Document Management – Hawk Drive launched as new service and software application for secure and convenient file-sharing and storage.
